Hehe. I think I was nervous lor during meeting with Karangkraf Branding Dept people. Interesting, passionate people lar I must say. And thanks to Supervisor Jeff for backing me up so much. Pamper your Mum day, my very project, you determine my capability! *fingers crossed*

I was clearing my table today and I have to admit to be really proud of myself, I loved my own work (tsk tsk since when I became this narcissist) hope you don’t get me wrong, I’m just really excited that I’ve been doing a pretty good pro job and really wanna continue with it, or do even better.

Internship journey sure is AWESOME for me. I’m starting to feeeel really comfortable as if I’m a staff and hey progress! : I don’t feel shy going into the pantry anymore and I don’t hold back and there is no hesitation whatsoever being an intern. I’ve unleashed the true cherry and they seem to be ok with it. Then ok lah! Adaption? CHECKED!

Like I got this for free, I'm not even supposed to have it but again, Philips is so nice. Let me just tell you I have issues with formal wear. I hate formal wear! especially when i have problems with buttons. here, perfectly fits me. =)

Yes! I have finally experienced the cruise I’ve been mentioning! It is organized for PHILIPS promoters as an incentive - happy happy thing, how nice eh. Breaks into two sessions where one is for CE (Consumer Electronics) promoters and another which is today’s DAP (Domestic Appliances and Personal Care) promoters..phew. And what the hell was I doing there? Tag along lah, intern what..haha. obviously because my boss loves me so much I was asked to join lo (perasan weh). It was a mini yet pretty enjoyable cruise lah, too bad it had to rain or we’d truly enjoy it. Camwhored nonetheless haha and I must say I’ve bonded with the ladies ah how memorable. Maybe I’ve bragged too much about being in PHILIPS, most of my friends already know that I’m having a fab time here and hey indeed I still am having a blast, I have not screwed up (choyyyy) , no one has scolded me and hitting a month I still don’t feel stressed (dei memang ada kerja buat lah), and I still erm, don’t, really, pay for my meal(s). I’ll really miss my experience here in PHILIPS when I leave, a time I really enjoy at work like never before (office work somemore weh). It is my honour to have met this company and its good people in it *emo*…..

How would you feeeeel if you MISS THAT CHANCE!! Whyyyy oh whyyy do I freaking live nestled amidst them betrayal trees that stopped me from receiving calls and smses…like ok imagine ok, this guy you really like asked if you wanna go for u a drink, tried calling, you have no friggin idea until when you wana go to bed, the reports of missed calls and THAT SMS of 9-ish pm came to you only hours later AAAAAAARRRRRRGGGHH. Me and my coulda shoulda woulda.

Tomorrow’s the very reason I procrastinate! (same for u lah just admit) Happy holidays all! And happy Awal Muharram to my Muslim friends. If not, tomorrow’s actually the 4th week for us TARCians battling in internship (wow), and die, Tuesday’s results day, thank you lah.

Speaking of internship, I haven’t really shown you my tempat duduk eh?

So far being in Philips Malaysia is stress-free (not like I sit down shake legs lah) but hey really I love the environment and organization’s culture rocks! And sorry pls. don’t be too jealous when I say up to date, my boss/supervisors still pay for my meal. Like hello I’m superpaiseh ok. I’m finding my way to paying someday k but most of the time, failed! They are the sweetest! When it’s work, they guide me best. When it’s lunch/out of office, they tease me best. Omg lah I’m like having a time of my life. With a boss trying to matchmake me (thank you!! haha), on the other hand, with one of my supervisors harassing me (I want to slap him so bad) gosh I love the drama!. And for the other good people in Philips, though not under them, they can really make my day.

Jeanette my boss gosh she’s supernice to me! At a personal level even, we share a lot. She makes me LOL in public, like damn kuat ok so embarrassing, hits me in my head, randomly smses me, sends me cute emails and noo I’m not taking advantage of this, I will do anything for her really!

Enjoy the photos yes you won’t see cherry in any of it. Though under our assessment photo taking with our face being in there (chances of faking our work, that is), is very much required, I am not going to have my face in a photo by simply asking my superiors to make the effort to take nice shots of me when I’m not really working. When am I really working? I am only really working when I don’t even have time to think about taking photos of myself during work. Get it? No posing is allowed? Why I think you’re asking us to pose already (think kerja amal moral during SPM). PR in my very opinion is not diplomacy. Diplomacy is just a better word for hypocrisy. Thank you.

I will however, some day in these 3 months, take some photos, only with one condition of my own. It has to be a total candid shot and that I was really working hard at that moment. Ok? Question is, who’s going to take it? Negotiate with someone who’s busy to do it? So. very. lame. Yes I do have issues.

Being in Trade Marketing Dept (similar to Marketing Communication) rocks! I was allowed to give input, asked for ideas and suggestions on how PR can play a role for PHILIPS wah damn syiok! Though I’m not as lucky as my friends learning from PR firms, I believe I’m blessed being here in Philips meeting the best bosses and supervisors! I’ll make the most out of it! For some reasons actually, I don’t feel like doing pure PR thing anymore.

I’m also happy for my friends who are doing very well at their internship placement kudos, keep it up and keep in touch! =)

I hate to break this to some of you but the wrong usage of Internship begins to frustrate me a little so let me TRY to put this to a stop K.

Intern – It means the person undergoing Internship
Interns – More than one intern
Internship – It means the Industrial training.

So pls stop calling yourself “interns” when you’re only one person; ask me cherry, how is your “intern” when I am in no position to train anyone yet and your experience now is called internship not intern.

Perfect weekend closure <3 (my freaking long post)

Hello world! Oh I have to agree with that. I had a blast over the weekend and trust me, this one is rather memorable! It was my LAST session (6 altogether) with the LAST batch of Talisman oilrig men where I was only with the 1st, 5th and 6th how sad I had to be replaced for the 2nd, 3rd and 4th it’ll be cool to literally know almost all of them heh. But it’s alright, at least my sis, Amanda and Tasya were able to experience it =).

When I say oilrig men sounds pretty intimidating huh? When Bart was discussing with me last year, I was picturing dirty sweaty shouting men, maybe horny but ya horny remains to be true HAHAHA no offence. Oh are they the nicest people I’ve ever worked with. They are lively, crazzzy in the head and sorry to say I’d prefer them over office people when it comes to teambuilding programmes. They damn cool! I dare say I’m starting to meet lots of people especially year 2009 and it’s great when you have variety as adaption switches itself in funny ways. Talisman Malaysia Limited is by far, one of my best moments early this year.

It’s not only the client I’ll deeply miss. The beautiful Coutryview Recreation Park(CRP) takes my breath away with the ever helpful owner Mr. Lee and his team always making it like a home for us. The animals, adventurous stuff I just love it! I’m so used to every person and animal there it’s like I’m part of CRP. I remember on my last morning, literally just off the bed with messy hair, unwashed face, super short shorts under oversized t-shirt, I dragged my feet to the restaurant, yawning without manners and treated the kitchen like my own, had to make coffee for me, bart and suba (our routine) and to my horror, ALL of the client were already having their breakfast there (it was 7am, they were supposed to start at 7.30am). Usual lah they went all aawww cherry/phewit cherry and I just gave them to talk to the hand sign (actually damn fucking malu deep inside). Haha but I love it there =)

Thank you of Bart, the trainer of all corporate trainings and teambuilding programmes. I know how much you want me to address you as a big bro rather than a dad BWAHAHAHA. Now anyone who knows me knows that you are one hella cool boss and even at a personal level, good friend of cherry’s. I appreciate all of our pillow talk sessions, the beers and meals you spend on me, the times you were willing to listen and actually take whatever I say seriously, you inspire me in ways you can’t imagine. Because of you, I begin to look very highly of myself. Much love!

Thank you of course, Andrew who pays my salary haha but yes I enjoy our every conversation. Good news is I’m not afraid of you anymore haha always thought you were too poweful for me haha. Thank you for never being mad at me when I make mistakes, and you are such a sweet sweet boss, we could chit chat the whole night I guess. Maybe one day ey, take care Andrew pls get more sleep whenever you can.

Thank you Paul the other big boss. Though we’ve only met maybe less than 5 times?, I adore you oh so much I find you so adorable and direct and love ur in ur face jokes. Take care there in Holland and can’t wait for our gathering. Hearts!

When we arrived, I felt only good vibes. I remember telling myself, I truly wana make the most out of this programme, be as involved as I can. And I did. The client, they were being too sweet. And they are all very funny!

As the first day for Talisman programme would be four wheel drive where I can’t attend due to internship and all that, well it was only thrilling and hardcore all the way because of Mr. Nasir and his wife Eliza, who are Andrew’s friends. They are damn great people because they’d wait for me and Suba to travel all the way to Commonwealth Park, Rawang on the first night. They’d wait patiently for us, then we’d go for STIM BURGER! The famous tasty healthy burger! It was a boring routine after frigging 5 times for them, we went to Kopi Street instead and that was our farewell supper with them awww...

We managed a reasonable pillow talk then Bart was too tired, we girls carried on til 2-3am haha.

On the very next day, we take off to Pahang.

Our VIP arrival has to be welcomed by the ever famous Mr. Lee's curry puffs! I took 4, don't tell anyone. haha.

VERY IMPORTANTLY, we need to go have a look at our children first.

Highlight of THE DAY is definitely rafting where Bart wanted to make a twist for the final batch. The guys will build their own raft and those rafts with 9 members only have to drag us girls safely til the end while we’ll be sitting on tubes. THAT WAS SO DE-STRESSING OK!

My favourite above all, paintball in jungle OK! Being the only girl in the war competing with the wild, and performed pretty well and receiving compliments and pats from those guys, wow amazing feeeeeeling. I remember throwing myself on the ground, crawling in bushes, and having trouble breathing in the mask, also fucking fogged it up couldn’t see shit, ah the adrenaline rush.
