THANK YOU PHILIPS by Cherry the Intern

Ah..here comes my final day in Philips Malaysia Sdn Bhd – I can never ask for a better place to work at in the future I dare say. Internship? I’d call it a vacation. No, I’m serious. I take this internship a 3-month vacation where I happen to meet up with my ‘friends’ in the day time and we’re like working on cool projects together. It felt like I was sent by college to attend a student’s exchange programme, and to my foster family. We’re happy, we hang out a lot. If some issues arise, we’d solve it, overcome it and then we have coffee and at lunch many dishes ought to be prawn and they’d kepit and put in on my plate cos I love it too much. We gossip, don’t mind each other’s personal stories, converse in profanity and obscenity (haha! It’s a good thing). This has always been how I take it. No wonder, you must be thinking, Cherry’s freakin’ enjoying herself. Nevertheless, I’ve tried whatever I can to be the best intern to make both my college and Trade Marketing proud. By now, I know I’m really proud of myself for a gazillion reasons. Mainly, to have been exclusively accepted into Philips without interview whatsoever. Still, I hope I’ve proven to all that I didn’t take such advantage for granted, I respect the trust and faith given to me. I’ve learnt so much, it’ll take forever to break it down for you. I just know I’ve grown so matured!

If you ask me, it’s a funny feeling you know..today..the office looks different, feels different to be talking to the same people. it's what i call the "im dying" feeling/ "im already dead, soul came to visit" feeling. choyyy! as much as I was particularly busy typing away, I was also busy daydreaming. I had a lot in the head. Limbs and brain juice weren’t exactly coordinating, still got some stuff done. I was being emotional actually. Oh and many were amused by the lil cocktail chocolate I’ve given as a byebye gift, they liked it. And my special gifts for my bosses, well is tooooo small compared to what THEY have prepared for me. Show u later in this post.

I did say that I may cry on my last day but I didn’t. Because these are the angels sent from above who only want to see me do well, and hell never will I let them down. If only there’s a better way to show them how much I really mean THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart, how much I’m grateful to have known a great bunch of extremely nice people. Not to mention how I look up to them too for they are professional and capable.

They brought me to Shogun in Sunway! A must try! Initially, it was just my boss and supervisors. Others came too especially the really busy bees who can’t make time even for the most special occasions: Edwina, Philip and Elaine came!! Everyone was tired, I had one swollen eye (you’d notice in the photos), Jeff had a stomach upset, that’s why I appreciate this farewell lunch even more!

We're like the youngest spoilt brats hehe. My 4th brother Kent who loves to lecture me on not to use the F word haha! also, all of the life lessons, I'll always remember!
Ming Sang, the 3rd brother who's so caring, gentle, which I find truly adorable of him. Thank you for the guidance, and I'll miss how you always tell me "don't worry, sure can.."
here comes the 2nd brother, Jeff whom I assist most. Thank you for everything, really! The one who taught me almost everything since day one.
But most of all...
I'll have to thank Jeanette, my boss, our mama..for opening the doors for me, allowing me to learn under your wings and sometimes, on my own. The woman I admire SO MUCH! the woman whom I love truly. You are the one who made it happen for me. You gave me this Internship experience, and I thank you for that.
In sweet memory of us, working very closely everyday..take care, now that I'm away..
POST FAREWELL LUNCH..
After all of the good food and sweet nothings, we still had work to do. Continued with photography session with Chef Zam at KDU.

Went back to office and to my horror I still had SO MANY stuff not completed..so there i was til 7-ish pm. Once everything was at supersonicspeed, I was really reluctant to return the pass. So I took a pic of it. :(
Well I think it's worth a mention that Jeff was sooooo kind to wait patiently and before that he sent me home because it's my last day and that I have alot of things to carry, it was his treat at Paddington Hse of pancakes! My first time! and it has such a Dutch twist to it! Paddington is in UK right...hmm why Dutch eh. Whatever..I love how it's spelled pannekoek on the menu..Thank you Jeff! for the quality time spent.
my final fatty meal!! haha..it's called Amsterdam!

And then I went home, excitedly checked out the gifts given by the family. Be. very. jealous! They make me feeeeeel sooooooo grand! =D
Philips Mp3 GoGear LUXE that connects calls, ark! red colour! I love it! and awww Crabtree and Evelyn giftset I swear I can smell it from here as I'm typing...I'm in love with the scent!! and haha random cheese gift.
Close up!!

It consists of Bath and shower gel, body lotion, perfume, soap bar, and powder all in the Lily of the Valley scent!! <3

I hope that this isn't really the end and that we'd still work together (somehow) in the future. We'll keep in touch. Oh yeah we're all on Facebook ;) Take care, everyone! All the best to you! I'll miss each and everyone of you. You are one of the sweetest memories I've ever had, it'll retain all my life.

THANK YOU PHILIPS!
