OVER AND OUT!

finally...the word assignment will never be heard again. at least for a month lah. well just feel like blogging on how this killer short sem has treated all of us. here goes, the chronology of final semester's array of assignments...

1.MEDIA CONTACT LIST
We had to collect as many genuine contacts as possible to get lotsa details in regards of skin care. Telemarketing skills came in handy, truly. Compiling it was tedious. I remember having fainting spells in Borders for bending too much. eh, means i can really faint one u know! All in all, media ppl are always in a rush but nice at the same time.

2.INTERVIEW WITH A JOURNALIST AND A PR PRACTITIONER
Crystal's Godbrother, Dean an NST reporter has been really cooperative! =)
As for the PRP, my sister's friend, also my 2nd degree friend? haha..Tek Yan is also seriously helpful. Orang PR katakan. A big THANK YOU to Mr. Chua Tek Yan, my current PR mentor hehe..I personally find him cool. now what say you?

3.CULTURAL AND RELIGIOUS RESEARCH-WE CHOSE GANDHI!!
We had to do a research on Gandhi, on how Indian culture has changed because of his efforts. It *is* one great movie, I slept off because I was too tired okaayy! so yes, i'll watch once more! =)


4.DO OR DIE PROPOSALS TO BE SENT TO MR.CHUAN
Our task was to present 2proposals for each product, creating a PR event. The clients we were representing: Asadi slippers and Iron Man the movie. uh..huh.




as you can imagine, it was like work. we had many attempts to meet up with Mr.Chuan to get his approval but it was almost impossible. After all the brainstorming,we came up with:
1)GO-FLY-KITE with ASADI'S ULTRA LITE first ever kite competition.
2)REFLEXOLOGY, FOOT HEALTH SURVEY to promote ASADI'S MASSAGE slippers.
3)ROBOTIX PROGRAMME IN COLLABO WITH PETROSAINS with Iron Man.
4)MY FATHER, MY IRON MAN largest ever dedication card.

No.1 and No.3 was chosen for the next assignment.

5.NEWSPAPER CLIPPING
To compile education institution's articles/advertisements for a week. Dont wana talk about it. Boring.hehe...

6.PRESS RELEASES, MOCK PHOTOS WITH CAPTIONS.
We had to make the event like it was real. This is where the 10days of fun began! =)
Kite flying. There's actually a kawasan bermain layang-layang in KL!i've never played kite in ages. since i was 10, i think?

Iron Man. U've no idea. we stayed up til football matches are over, birds chirping, azan is heard. just to sew iron man suit in a jiffy! we wanted to finish our work early, we met up to discuss,bought materials and immediately made the decision to make a suit according to Basil's measurements. yes, u guessed it! he's our Iron Man!hhaha..sounds like fun..=p so we were like in The Apprentice. or wait, Project Runway? sigh, PR students with no fashion design knowledge. With thread and needle and no time to sleep, i think we did fantastic! IRONTASTIC! =)

7.MEDIA RELATIONS ACTION PLAN
which we have JUST completed moments ago. all regarding 15-page-detailed execution and stuff. let's not talk abt assignments anymore.wait, what? i don't even know that word for now. it's time for....

FINAL EXAMS! AND IM GOING TO U soooooooon. =D
