May I jam cram cherrydailies into a post just this once? can lah can lah..

As usual, I am crazy enough to occupy my hands with numerous to-dos but the mind is normally occupied by a total different set of to-thinks and then definitely the heart's to-feels that occupy one big room and most of my time. I don't know how it happens but that's always the case. There is definitely a problem with the cognitive and emotive sides of me hmm.

So it's my obligation, to update y'all who have been visiting but seeing same bowl of salad photo for the past one week haha sorry lah. i already explained the whole hands, head and heart situation that delays me right?

So let's work backwards?

Well I just came back from a great chillout night with who else if not Ledlove who's willing to spend time with me. Craving for comfy place to do our work (freelancers rawk!) and yele sapadu (banana leaf rice) thereafter never dies. plan tweaked when i thought i felt really happy we bumped into Shamkeri and Ad. another set of people (just younger) whom I can just kick off my shoes with. loved it. satisfying! I think I really need a nice evening stroll/brief
dinner on Sundays just to feel highly motivated for what you call Monday blues? :) Next Sun, who's free? :D p/s: first time at Pappa Rich too, the menu price is quite rich itself and don't order so called healthy orange juice. and take note of very very rude bapok waiter there too. In Bangsar i mean. once all you experience it enough, let's get him/her fired!!

No thanks to slow mo pace, you'll know why when you read further. haha hangover! I was really homely, literally lazing around with family, and when I say family I mean the complete set, all five of us! it sure has been long and the last time it ever felt this way must be one of our Penang/Pangkor trips way back (cos the recent one I excluded myself from it). So yes I admit it feels great, though a little awkward. I tried, and it worked this time. Movie marathon (I was just reading a book the entire day to sober up) from when I woke up in the afternoon, nobody had anything to eat until late evening we thought oh yes, why not dinner and then pasar malam at OUG, and lots shopping and came back home and I was forced to join. aaww how sweet. since I've never watched 2012. I must say the decision on the cast is weird, big budget is definitely thrown in but John Cusack disappointed me. here goes -my fav part:

effect's great but there was no fear in the actors' eyes..

Happy Birthday Neresh! :) at DragonHead, Kelana Square! You know the kinda feeling throughout the weekdays you thought to yourself hmmm I've worked hard and long and tonight's the night? I must say I felt exactly the same way. After all the emotional strain with some issues which I thought can never end, I think I'm getting a better grip being around people. Forgetting the negative really easily and looking forward to more positive ions.

So yes, Happy Birthday Neresh, the guy from the neighbourhood! :)

Something feels really different this time. And then I noticed. We're all grown ups partying now. No wonder it really really tells, there IS a distinction! observe how everyone's struggling to open their eyes :)

led i want the disco ball!

BIRTHDAY BOY

This is the day I know I want to have a peace of mind outdoor. The sound of the fountain at Gardens being heard and seen from where Starbucks is is bliss and the best. Funny how I don't feel lonely at all being at public places by myself. And to observe all walks of life is quite a task. I enjoyed it. The awes and critics playing in my head hehehe. This is also the day I thought "hey this is how a freelancer works" I didn't really grasp it of course. Till I really told myself hey, this is really how they rely so much on their laptop and work from the comfort of homes and anywhere else they wanna be. It's quite interesting than a 9-5, no?

I also felt quite handal, made a lil banner thingy showing off my already long ago existing 1Malaysia identity.

Freelancer at work -Starbucks Gardens

This is 1Malaysia

Happy Ponggal! Thank you Suba for the morning delivery service hahaha!

Let me tell you why I suddenly felt SOOO responsible towards my brother Lionel that I brought him out for snacks and let him order WHATEVER he wants to eat. (His tea time RM 17++ ouch!) he didn't wana go mamak la no choice.

I was being so mean to him since he got back from school and forced him to eat lunch I made. Well take note that he's realllly fussy over food and complains like shit so it gets to your nerves after all of your hardwork preparing y'know. He made faces and said he hates the food and I went all like "down it!" "this is life" thinking that he's just too spoilt over food choice. He didn't really finish it though and looked sick after that. And then I realised. I burnt the porridge. The whole pot of porridge stinks and it aint edible my friends. Felt really stupid as the big sister, I apologised and proposed that we go eat out if he's still hungry? the whole looking sick part is memang buat muka only, he immedidately cheered up -_-

Fish and Chips and Ice blended for minum petang!? wharrt? ok fine.

THESIS DISSERTATION DONE! OMG I THOUGHT IT'LL NEVER END!

I never really thought that SSH (Social Science & Humanities) lecturers are THAT childish? hmmm.

Wangsa Walk just has to be the place again! It's new and it's the best thing you can get around Setapak lah what to do. A&W! :D Quality time with Sabina always the best because there can never be silence hahaha. I love her so much aaww, for understanding me in out through all body fibres and I am so glad I'll survive in UK because I have her.

Sunday, January 10 2010

Vague. I just know I was and am still home most of the time, trying to get myself together, also trying to study. get pulled out of bed, kidnapped and end up having a drink or so here and there. Nothing spectacular YET. Suba bought a new camera and I thought the photos it produces rocks. It's Sony Cybershot, 12.1 megapixel, RM699 NP: RM999. I'm really planning to buy a digicam and fingers crossed, an SLR (rather than relying on hp :'( boo hoo)

♪ Lil Cherry Joys :) ♫ ☺ ☼ ♥

My best friends would know, that I get very easily pleased with little joys in life :) As small as they seem, they can really make my day. Sometimes I seek for them, so much so I need them to carry on with life or else I'd declare it boredom. Am I THAAAT detailed? I probably am. I could really relate myself to Sherlock Holmes after watching the movie. I didn't think he was insane or anything, think he's really smart in an unusual way which of course, the main point is actually how I LOVE ROBERT DOWNEY JUNIOR VERY MUCH! haha. To share, therefore the fights in previous relationships because the small details that could make me happy did not (will never) happen at all. At the same time, by looking into the small areas, leads you to the very big picture which in the
end proves your assumptions to be genius conclusions haha! weird? I know my ladies out there are totally with me in this (on how male are incapable to look into details/we can really catch their mistakes if we want to but we love them so much we just don't mention).

Omg! that's beyond the point. Now little (random) joys in my life may include:

☼ The sound of boiling water and the smell of coffee in the morning
☼ I'd go crazy if birds are chirping considering the industrial ecosystem that turn the birds off
☼ Running as hard as you dirtydance
☼ My me-time in a café and feeling absolutely at ease when the ppl working at the café know exactly why you are there all alone
☼ Patting a fat stray cat
☼ To observe that your 10 yr old brother take your "wake me up" task SERIOUSLY
☼ Successfully removing ALL of my blackheads on my face without leaving a scar
☼ Meeting up with my girls due to NO OCCASION
☼ Music from 90's simply because I know the lyrics from A-Z
☼ Meeting new friends is also like a date
☼ How people selflessly and effortlessly tell you genuinely that you are amazing
☼ and the list is forever...

My little random joys of the day in a summary:

Truthful and polite enough to cancel an outing, Went back to bed, Slept till late afternoon, appointment with beautician was 2 hours back and she wasn't pissed. Knew I didn't have enough time to get ready for rescheduled time, I was still determined to make something for brunch/lunch trying very hard to stick to resolutions to be on a good diet, and save money. Rushed like mad in the kitchen.

What do you think?
Let me tell you what I think.
It's an awesome big bowl of salad!! :D
No I'm not torturing myself. I enjoyed it very much! Bart, my Kitchen Sifu will be really proud of this! :D
Aiya can't MMS him to show off cos he can't receive. Then I hope he reads this post!
Cherry special includes bread crumbs i made myself!, egg, tuna and coleslaw dressing among the greens. voila!

Such joy to also bump into old friends, sent an application form (I hope I get the job!) and found out a
friend works there! :D high chances! went to buy my favourite things!

At night when I was working on my things, the BEST lil joy in my 2010 so far, how I was surprised that...

Gmail layout changes itself. The first is daytime and when it's night, it changed to a night layout!

I was like, eh who changed my theme setting!

Omg i didn't know! Gmail is so cute, it's alive! ok i'm going crazy.

ok probably in your eyes i didn't have anything to shout about for the day. then maybe it
should occur to you to allow things to happen to you, to allow the smaller things to make
you happy! I hope that my dear friends, quietly, as much as you wanna deny it, that...
you DO have lil random lil joys like mine, or even smaller but crazier.

LOVE 2010!

Thanks for the memories, TAR College <3 (2006-2010)

TAR COLLEGE, IT'S WHERE I HAVE ESTABLISHED GREAT CONNECTIONS AND WILD STEPPING STONES OF MY LIST OF FAVOURITE TIHNGS TO DO. THANK YOU!

Disclaimer (cheh wah): I'm not going to thank one by one, the wonderful lecturers and friends from this college I love very much because you already know who you are (can't you tell by the many times I verbally and physically appreciate you?) and you will be constantly mentioned anyway. This post, is very the condensed because I have no enough sleep but am sincere in writing this one. Enjoy!

*** edited because MARCUS ANTHONY KHOO refused to read disclaimer***

This is for times the you were there for me both in the campus and in our neighbourhood. Photo taken right before you left, we looked very young but definitely look better now as we age gracefully. I am so tired my eyes can't open. wtf is wrong with our hair! we look very cool now. Be very touched! zzzzzzzz

It's like the whole world (FB) knows today is my last day of college because my mates can't stop emoing over it on their status, you've guessed the theme of this entry! It's ritual, it's a must, to write about the journey. I loved college life but not as much as I enjoyed primary and high school! -that one got more memories lah.

This will be quite a ridiculous long post so pls grab your favourite snack! :)

I am happy to announce that I have successfully struggled through hurdles of a college life in Tunku Abdul Rahman College, Setapak KL Main Campus, never went on a street fight, never went on a protest, be barred, blacklisted or suspended or expelled. Frankly, failing only two papers in four years : Media and Advertising and Tamadun Islam dan Asia. It sure is the attitude problem and not to say intellectually challenged. I went for a 'resit' and scored A for both. Right back at ya, bad Cherry! Told you it was just bad attitude :) I am a good student aaww :) <3

I suspected TAR College was going to be my future at the very initial stage of SPM because my elder than me (5yrs gap) sister went the same route. No joke. Same kindy, primary, high school and even college. But I stayed longer, she had the chance to go to UTAR, PJ but not me. UTAR, PJ required me an extra year of learning chinese because i am so banana all back in Kampar where I know I will die of boredom and too much water and nature. I want pollution! I want the gold rush of KL. My choice extended to Advanced Diploma and eventually by this May, to Liverpool, UK. Thank you God for bringing me this far.

I have said this and I will say this again. I went to TAR College with no friends. Considering the majority command of Mandarin in a huge campus, knew I was going to have some problems. But the immediate sense of belonging, thanks to Samson, my brother (eh you all still believe the story ah? Ok ah year 2010, samson is NOT my brother k? haha!). Samson introduced this college life to me, I felt very welcomed, very Indian and very very homely. The Open Day personal tour, guide to survival (guide to fame), how-tos, all also he teach me :) Appreciate the good times, the canteen 2 meeting place and the 'rat holes' whatnot.

Samson's words: "Every company needs a PR"

after SPM, we were working at this awesome place where you "have ur ways of working" hehehe. and he was already teaching me what to expect in TARC.

I am only so thankful I purposely took a photo of MY FIRST DAY OF COLLEGE. Right after people think they like me and voted me as the course rep, I met up with my girls (notice leddy is in STPM in VI, Suwen was already in MMU Malacca), we were like...updating each other! getting excited!

my first event, newbie weh, given a chance to be an emcee, I am honoured. Spot BOPET AND LOL! HAHAHAHA!

my Diploma classmates Hema, Gary, moi, Pinky, Emilio, Tasya, we're still really awesome together, closest with Emilio today. Peranakan style! - Emily of Emerald Hill play.

This statement will never change : ENGLISH FESTIVAL NIGHT '06 THE BEST EVENT WE HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED! cheers!

worked really hard for Oceanic Orientation Odyssey Nite (OONite) '07. worked even harder than i can today. partial newbie but an External ViceChairperson is the Jack of All Trades, and Victim of All Bullies ok.

Encore Night '07 with my Indian brother and Malay brother. 1Malaysia yo.

We were involved in the Student Welfare Committee (SWC). This is an ice breaking session with juniors the future leaders cheh wah. Best of all, we have our own SWC office and we do WHATEVER WE LIKE there. awesome.

Health Campaign '07 under supervision of very fierce Ms. Yesu (she's actually really sweet), it's the training you need that's all haha.

Tak cukup manpower but we managed to organise a DPR2 (The end of Diploma in PR Year 2) Pillow Talk Farewell Party and I think it is an undeniable success.

as we became older, we were visiting/supporting Junior's events and campaigns instead. As patriotic as I can be, just by being Chellamma, I won RM300, thank you Faces of Malaysia! I went Malacca to eat, drink, party with that money haha, thanks!

Best room mate -here comes Advanced Diploma Year One. Alvin, thank you for you have taken care of me very well.

The TRULY LOVING CAMPAIGN '08 -APR1 Events Management. The name itself too full of love weh.

NASAM fun in the Park! -Charitable Cause a continuation with Truly Loving Company! It was my 20th bday! :D

championing Pidato '08, don't mess with the chinese yet indian at heart girl.

Sabina owned it! Finalist of Public Speaking '08 which is the English version of Pidato one week later, confused the VIPs, they thought we are either the same person/sisters. I must have BM-ed too much I ended up looking very Malay at some point. again-1Malaysia.

Best room mate Part Two -here comes Advanced Diploma Year Two. Not only Mimi the cat, but in KengLi's awesome house. Thank you for the great hospitality.

The Recent PR Campaign Planning and Management, SSH 10th Anniversary Celebration.

TODAY
I love gifts, the smaller the better.

APR2 & AMS2 sexy course reps ;)

random sarcasm I JUST FOUND OUT!

You see, life as it moves, it has to end somewhere. I have gone this far and never regretted a second. Got lah, of cos very regretful of how many homeworks I've not done and talked my way out of it. But aiya the exception is acceptable lah k. I know the lecturers know I am very lazy academically and only am more enthusiastic about hands-on campaigns and events. They quite accommodate to that. To redeem myself *reminds self to answer forums on CeL later* blargh eeeww haha.

I don't know how I sustained to be the course rep for whole four years, people are probably too used to me, as if it's even Ok that I slack once in a while (or most of the time?) Selamba sudah. Thanks for the faith and trust y'all.

I was very comfortable in the campus. As AvatarCliche-ed as this may sound like, it's like I have a connection with the nature, building, people, whole ecosystem of TARCollege and there is a weird sense of peace everytime I am in this college. I can wear shorts, slippers, persuade the security guard, I take my time to stone in some fav spots, my point is, it feels like home. I behave like I am at home. And I'm going to miss it. Quite badly.

The people. The lecturers and students in TARC are very cool. They are so awesome even better off to befriend them as compared to those English speaking ones. At some point I have stopped thinking that I am outcast because I don't speak Mandarin. There are so many people like me here. I am so comfortable I even take them for granted, knowing I won't lose them. That's why I went astray a lil during my final year, I have some other commitments outside, no time lah sorry ah.

I have done many evil things in this college too, and the college has punished me, it has also forgiven me.

Ah well, at least most of us are meeting in LJMU.

WHAT'S NEXT?

Pls live with it when I tell you I do love going to the library, borrowing books. I scanned through the shelves thinking to myself eh why ar the books so familiar. The fact is, I have read most of them before. Since Diploma I have read many books and great how it never feels/looks like I love reading right? haha.

I love when my mind travels. Reading is my new high.

This is just a small perimeter of my room. I am currently comfortably working in a coordinated chaos, baby! ok lah fine, I'll find time to kiuk-kiuk (kemas-kemas in Hokkien)

AS MINOR as it looks, this is phase one, ladies and gentlemen, moments after it happened.
Phase two three includes pus making them big pools of wet wounds so wet when a bug (with legs) literally landed on my knees it couldn't fly away, ouch! ouch for the bug and i! i quite refuse to show you phase two three cos it is very very unpleasant and you'd probably not wana come back to my blog, trust me on that!

With much regrets, due to what looks like a small matter but indeed a painful sensation against any sort of friction....

I had to FORGO agendas I WAS WANTING TO GO SO BAD :'(

Dragon Head Back to Work Celebration, Emilio's Zouk Night Out with Fleishman colleagues, Tomorrow's gay club revival I MISS OH SO MUCH, Laveena's Ice Skating idea Sunday, sorry I have failed you :'( maybe next time.

Thank you for temaning me down memory lane, friends who care about my blog.

Not your college girl no more. front this point. laaaaa feel so old. kthxbye!

HOWEVER.....

I will still go back to college A LOT, to submit my finalised thesis, to pay printing supplier, to follow up with some work, to get past year Qs, to study, to return books to the library, to hope that I still have the chance to have breakfast with Mr. Lee.....that's more like to-dos sorry...

I WILL BE BACK TO COLLEGE because....

I still have my final exams,

I still have all UK related classes/briefing to attend,

I still have my Karate training (Ok, secret is OUT) -I'm training Shorin Ryu now, Hayashi friends pls don't hate/judge!

I still want to look for my lecturers, juniors, friends, to lepak,

last but not least....

I am the SSH Alumni AJK (AhliJawatanKuasa) generasi paling muda.

least importantly....

I want MALI CORNER NASI LEMAK, KUEY TEOW BASAH; FOON LOK CHAM PING and many others.

Lots more ahead of us! So don't be too sad, folks!
